The Fresh Exchange began as a place to catalog the things that inspire me as a designer. It was not till January 2011 I decided to become serious about it. Since then The Fresh Exchange has become a major part of Hitch's business. It has been a wonderful way to connect and meet other great creatives all over as well as give a personal look into being a small business owner and living in Northern Michigan.

Every post I create is hand done and custom to what is inspiring me that day.

These are just a few examples of the work I do over at the blog.

As a giveback to our local community we partner with Porterhouse Productions to help produce fun and creative posters for their various events in Traverse City and Northern Michigan.

This is a small collection of some of the ones we have done in the last few years.

The Motion Booth is a project that is connected with Dan Stewart Photography. The Motion Booth will be a photobooth setup for weddings and parties, so the challenge was to create a design that complimented Dan's current aesthetic as well as created fun energy. The brand had to go beyond the wedding world as well since it will be used in various ways.

Collateral Created:
Business Cards
Event Cards
Logo Design
Web Page Design
Banners for print outs

Baabaazuzu is a handmade upcycle company located on the Leelanau Penninsula. The company was looking for a new blog design that fit their new development of style and brand in the up coming year. They wanted a place to build a community with their clients and within the the community of clothing companies.

With this project Hitch helped them redesign a blog that was providing a crisp and clean platform for their content. They wanted a vintage feel but with clean lines and simple details. It needed to grab a more gender neutral audience as their products are for both men and women.

Hitch strategized with them to find easy and simple ways to plug back into their current e-commerce site to help their readers easily find and purchase their products online.

Weber Photography is a client that is near and dear to the heart of Hitch. Cory owns Weber Photography and has been a close partner on many projects. So when Cory offered the chance to work on his brand at a very pivotal point in building his company I jumped at the chance.

Hitch now manages the Weber Photography brand after helping Cory rename and launch his new studio. It was exciting to work alongside a good friend and mentor on such a personal project. Currently Hitch is working to develop a new site and blog design for the Weber brand.
